𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 "𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘁"?
So, how do you find the balance between spending precious time with your family and working towards your wellness goals?
A few things that I do that helps to ease my mind:
- 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀. 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁.
- 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀.
- 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗺𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 "𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱" 𝗼𝗿 "𝗯𝗮𝗱", 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 - 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼.
You can go into any social situation and make food choices that help you feel good while still having fun - release the anxiety, it doesn’t serve you!
I’m all about being armed with the tools I need to feel good in these situations. Do you feel you have what you need to conquer your goals? If not, break it down into bite-sized pieces and start with the smallest crumb - like adding one more serving of veggies per day! Keep digging in, one day at a time.
