Time to Detox

Post Stampede Detox

Getting back to reality after 10 days of Stampeding can be difficult, you may be feeling sluggish with some brain fog to go with it. The best remedy to “detox” your system is to get back into a healthy routine as fast as possible. Keep reading for our post Stampede tips!

Get moving – Moving your body, whether with a workout or simply walking, moving is one of the best ways to feel energized. With movement we can help move toxins through our system and dispose of them, which can help with brain fog. Movement also helps to create more energy, which can get rid of that sluggish feeling.

Drink water – Water is incredibly helpful when trying to rid your body of toxins from things such as alcohol and fatty Midway foods. Staying hydrated will also help your body to release excess water it may be holding on to from an increased sodium intake, which often leaves you feeling bloated.

Eat whole foods – After a week of eating generally unhealthy foods, your body will thank you for getting back on track. Focus on eating whole foods – things that aren’t pre-cooked or packaged – and aim to fill half your plate with fruits and vegetables each meal.

Make time to rest & restore – You may not feel it right away, but 10 days of late nights, drinking, and unhealthy eating can wear your body down. Take time for yourself to rest, reflect on how you’re feeling, and try restorative practices such as yoga or meditation. Even 10 minutes can be helpful to tune into your body!
