This Saint Patrick’s Day let's focus on something green that is packed with powerful positive benefits- green tea!

Did you know the origin of green tea traces back to 2737 B.C in China? The discovery occurred by accident when the Chinese Emperor Shennong mistakenly drank water that had a dead tea leaf boiled in it. To his surprise, he completely fell in love with the taste and the drink was born!

Green tea is rich in many polyphenols, compounds containing an array of different antioxidants that help protect your body from free radicals, reduce inflammation, boost your immune system, aids in your body’s ability to protect itself and so much more!

Multiple peer reviewed studies have now proven, not only is green tea a protectant for breast cancer and a variety of other different diseases, while it supports overall liver health and helps to protect you against oxidative stress! Studies have also shown that by simply consuming the tea by drinking even increases your overall oral health!

Not all teas have been created equal, especially matcha because they are more concentrated. When it comes to tea, there are risks of pesticides, herbicides, mold, insecticides, and heavy metals, which affects not only your body’s overall function ability but as well as your fat storage. Go for the highest quality!

This year instead of raising a green beer, cheers with a cup of green tea and make a toast to who loves you the most- your body!
